Scolia Scorekeeper System

An automatic scoring system for steel-tip dartboards. Detects every throw with millimetre precision and provides real-time statistics for players. WebOrbit contributed by developing and refining the full web backend and dashboard.
About the Project
Scolia is a modern, automatic scoring system designed for steel-tip dartboards. By leveraging advanced computer vision and machine learning technologies, it detects each dart with millimetre-level precision, eliminating the need for manual scorekeeping. WebOrbit was responsible for the development and ongoing enhancement of the entire backend system, as well as the web-based control dashboard. The camera-driven detection unit transmits data to a Google Cloud-based infrastructure, where backend services built with NestJS and TypeScript process the information. Real-time scores, player statistics, and match history are presented through a modern React-based dashboard, also designed and implemented by our team. The objective was to deliver a stable, high-performance, and scalable platform that offers players immediate feedback alongside in-depth analytical insights. Today, Scolia is used across multiple countries by both recreational players and professional tournament organisers.
