At WebOrbit Ltd.'s office in Szeged, the current workplace conditions meet occupational health and safety requirements; however, long-term sedentary intellectual work – particularly characteristic of software development – places increased strain on the spine, neck and lumbar regions, as well as the shoulder and arm muscles. To preserve employee health and well-being, and to prevent long-term health damage, workplace ergonomic improvements were justified. As part of the project, we acquired 13 ergonomic Lapel office chairs with adjustable-height backrests and headrests, customisable lumbar support, 4D armrests, and synchronised mechanisms. These improvements ensure the maintenance of the spine's physiological curves, prevent back and neck pain, and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders.
